Birthday Wishes Stamp TV Sketch Challenge

Funny story! I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to complete the sketch challenge on Stamp TV Monday night into Tuesday morning... so I go to post my card on Tuesday and the entries needed to be uploaded by Monday evening! HA!! Can you tell I have been out of the stamping loop for awhile! Oh well, it was a fun card to make anyway! I have been doing so many clean and simple cards, that it was a challenge to add some layers and details! I also have been using a lot of white for my cards so this seems really dark!!! For the focal image background I used the polished stone technique, and used the stamps from GKD set Elegant Flowers. I stamped the background of the main card with french script and embossed the side panel using a su texture plate, and used a Martha border punch to layer that panel. Instead of using a paper panel I decided on a sheer ribbon, and added three gold brads at the bottom. That's all for now, thanks for looking!

White Christmas Card Challenge

This week Stamp TV has a White Christmas Card Challenge. This sounded like a challenge for me and my clean and simple self! I went through my Christmas embossing folders...I didn't realize how many I actually have?! Yikes, I think I have an addiction to embossing folders! I decided on this one, because the bottom of the image had a great space for this sentiment from Gina K's set Let it Snow. I added a thin border of navy blue to the embossed image and attached it to the base of the card. Then I had to add some glitter to the tops of the houses and to the falling snow, which is hard to see in the picture.

Thanks for looking!

Another Reverse Nestabilities Card

I guess I really like this technique! My tiger lilies are in full bloom now, they are mostly red and a splash of orange in the center of each petal. I tried to duplicate this... My ribbon is colored with copic markers, I was surprised how hard the ribbon got after drying. But the ribbon matches perfectly!
