Minecraft Birthday!

Supplies: Paper: crumb cake, old olive, black, white, grey, dark grey, brown  Accessories: score board, 3/4 inch square punch, Silhouette: 1/16 inch squares for sword

My nephew is turning 10! today on Halloween.  I cannot believe it, he has grown up way too fast!  We got him Minecraft toys for his birthday, so I thought this would compliment the gift we got him.  I honestly don't know a whole lot about Minecraft, but thank goodness for Pinterest!  I found this card to copy!  Thank you for the inspiration.  Then, I saw the sword, and thought how cool is that?!  I cut out a bunch of the little squares on my Silhouette and went to town putting together this sword.  After I was done, I wished I had made it the focal image, but it is a fun surprise as you open this z-fold card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween!

Supplies: Stamps: Lawn Fawn and Craft Lounge  Ink: Color Box whisper grey Memento tuxedo black  Paper: black, grey, and white  Accessories: wink of stella clear, copic markers, dimensionals
How cute is that spider and web??  Oh Lawn Fawn, how I love thee!  This card is another card that I found on Pinterest, this is pretty much a copy, of this card.  Thank you Amy from Prairie Paper and Ink for the inspiration!  I didn't have the exact brand of stamps, but I found some that worked well.  I used a spider web from Craft Lounge to stamp the webs in the background, and then I stamped the web and spider, colored, and cut it out.  I adhered it with dimensionals.  I loved how Amy added grey along the lines of the spider web, it added dimension to the web that is just perfect.  I also went over the grey and the spider with my wink of stella clear marker.  Thanks for stopping by!

I love punches and die cuts, and when I actually use them I love them even more!  I sponged the moon and tree with ink to add some texture to the die cuts.  I colored in the treat bag and beak on the owl.  Easy peesy for this card.  Thanks for looking!

Have a Corny Halloween!

Supplies: Stamps: Lawn Fawn, Studio G  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: white and black  Accessories: copic markers, ribbon
Lawn Fawn did it again, they stole my heart with these candy corns.  I started stamping, masking, and coloring these cuties not exactly knowing what I was going to do with them.  Then my husband walks in and asked how things were going.  I was pushing these aside and he said you are going to use those aren't you, they are so cute!  I about fell off my chair.  Not the words I was expecting to hear from him!  So now I had to use them!  I trimmed it up a bit, added some ribbon and a sentiment, and it came together.  Thanks for looking!

Creepy Crawly Halloween!

Supplies: Stamps: Penny Black  Ink: Memento Luxe toffee crunch, tuxedo black  Paper: white, black, and patterned paper  Accessories: Tim Holtz sparkle twine, piercer, stamp a ma jig
Hi!  I am not going to openly admit how many attempts it took to complete this card...  Oh jeez!  I thought this would be so simple!  I have been seeing the angles on cards and wanted to try it, I like the interest it creates on a CAS card.  I didn't realize how difficult it would be to line up my sentiment on an angle, even with my stamp-a-ma-jig!  I am glad I stuck it out, it is something different from my usual card.  And I like the creepiness of the card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Stampers!  It has been a weekend of Halloween cards!  And let me tell you Pinterest, saved me from my creative blocks all weekend!  For this card the inspiration I got from Pinterest was from this card, I loved the google eyes on the scallop circle!  So that is where I started, and I used the sketch from SCS this week to complete it.  Thanks for stopping by!  Stay tuned all week for more of my Halloween cards!

Trick or Treat

Supplies: Stamps: Studio G  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: gumball green, white, black, patterned paper?  Accessories: Martha Stewart web medallion, copic markers, Martha Stewart spider web border punch, gumball green ribbon, crystal effects

Hi Stampers!  I checked my email this morning and saw the SCS sketch challenge, and loved the sketch!  It is a great sketch to use patterned paper, fun label dies, and more.  I am definitely going to use this sketch again!  With Halloween around the corner I dug out my Halloween stamps to find an image that would fit in the Martha Stewart spider web medallion.  I found one, and thought it would be fun to add the spider web border as well.  Thanks for stopping by!

New to Me

Supplies: Stamps: SU Patterned Pines  Paper: SU crumb cake and Neenah white  Ink: Versamark  Accessories: SU embossing folder, detail white embossing powder, Spellbinders circle and scallop circle die cuts, gingham ribbon, dimensionals
Hi Stampers!  It is time for another featured stamper challenge on SCS!  This week's featured stamper is crafty Julia.  I chose this card to CASE from her gallery.  I chose to use an embossing folder instead of using patterned paper, I embossed my trees, and I changed the color scheme.

This was a fun card to make.  I just got this stamp set at a rummage sale this weekend, and I got to use my new embossing folder.  I love the filigree look to this folder!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi There!

Supplies: Stamps: Elzybelle, Papertrey mixed messages  Paper: Neenah white, SU crumb cake, Amuse wasabi pinstripe Ink: Memento tuxedo black, craft white ink  Accessories: waterbrush, banner punch, SU clip, piercer, wink of stella white glitter pen, copic markers

What happens when the DVR is recording two shows and I can't watch TV, the husband is gone, and I don't have any prep work for tomorrow??  I get to make a card!  This card is for the CAS challenge on SCS, it is to use piercing.  I inked up my image, but did not ink the bee "trail" and pierced it instead.  I added grass with my copic markers.  To color the focal image, I used a waterbrush with white craft ink and painted the white on the chick and the bee.  As I was doing so I remembered I didn't use StazOn...so I was REALLY careful not to touch the stamped image.  Then I used my copic markers to color in the image so the colors popped against the kraft paper.  I added some glitter to the bee wings using the white wink of stella marker.  I stamped the sentiment and punched it out using a banner punch, and attached it with a clip from SU.

That's all for today, thanks for stopping by!

Oh My It Has Been Way Too Long

Supplies: Stamps: Petite Pairs Paper: cherry cobbler and crumb cake  Ink: old olive, cherry cobbler, crumb cake, soft suede  Accessories: Stampin Up ribbon, ribbon slide, Cuttlebug embossing folder, stamp a ma jig, sponges
Hello Stampers!  As I went to post this and saw that my last card was an Easter card...I wondered where the time went.  Stamping has been on the backburner too long for me.  It is too bad stamping shopping doesn't end up on the backburner rather than the actual stamping! LOL!  There always seems to be time for that! :)  Anywho, I was determined to make a card.  Sundays I always enjoyed the featured stamper challenge on SCS.  So that is where I headed.  I found a card to CASE and had a plan.  It was nice to get inky again.  I wasn't planning on inking up the embossed image, but I like the pop of color it adds to the card.
Thanks for stopping by!
