Happy Heart Day

Supplies: Paper: real red and white cardstock and sending love 6x6 paper pad Accessories: falling petals embossing folder, layering circles framelits, heart punch
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday!  I know we did! I used the sketch challenge on SCS to complete this card.  I kept it simple as usual, not even any stamping!  The heart is from the paper pad and I punched it out with the heart punch.  Thanks for stopping by!

You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!

Supplies: Stamps: leg lamp from Etsy, Hardwood by SU Paper: kraft, Gina K white and black heavy base weight  Ink: SU crumb cake, Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: copic markers, Silhouette Cameo, computer

It is not Christmas unless you have watched The Christmas Story at least once at our house!  It has been a family tradition in my family for as long as I can remember!  So to commemorate this classic Christmas movie, I made this card.  I had purchased the leg lamp stamp from Etsy a LONG time ago, but never could figure out what to do with it!  So I was determined to get this stamp inked and ready to spread some Christmas cheer this year.  I decided to create the box that the leg lamp arrives in, and have the leg lamp revealed inside the card.  To make the front I used the Stencil font and created the cutout on the front using my Silhouette Cameo.  After I cut it out, I inked up the Hardwood background stamp with crumb cake ink and stamped it on the front panel.  On a separate piece of kraft paper I stamped the Hardwood stamp again and cut out two wood strips to adhere to the top and the bottom of the front panel.  I added some black paper behind the words to give it that burned on look that the box has in the movie.  For the inside I computer generated the saying and printed it out. Then I stamped the Hardwood stamp on the left, and colored, cut out, and glued the leg lamp inside.

I am happy with how this turned out, and I cannot wait to send them out!

Birthday Wishes "Fore" My Brother

Materials: Stamps: Stampington and Company, unsure on Birthday Wishes (from Hobby Lobby) Paper:  Gina K. heavy base white and black, Paper Cut pewter  Ink: Versamark, Memento Tuxedo Black  Accessories: detail clear and black embossing powder, Cuttlebug embossing folder, black twine, 1 1/4 inch circle punch, dimensionals

Anyone out there?!  When I looked at the date of my last post I couldn't believe it.  I switched grades at school this past year and there was not a lot of time for my hobby.  I have made a couple of cards, but I forgot to take a picture to post them.

I remembered today!  My brother celebrated his birthday yesterday.  He is a golfer and I had found this stamp at a rummage sale and wanted to use it.  I was going to paint a watercolor background and emboss the golf image on top, but I switched up to stamping on cardstock for a more classic look.  I made the golf ball by embossing the circle and then tapped it onto my Versamark ink pad and added clear embossing powder to make it shine like a real golf ball.
