Spring Tulips

Supplies: Stamps: Taylored Expressions: Spring Tulips  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: corner rounder, copic markers, gingham ribbon

The CAS challenge on SCS is to think Spring.  When I think of Spring I think of tulips and daffodils.  They are the first flowers to pop up in our yard.  So I decided to make a tulip card.  I stamped my focal image and sentiment, colored in my tulip, and added some gingham ribbon to make this card.

Season's Greetings

Supplies: Stamps: Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays  Ink:  Memento tuxedo black and summer sky, SU craft white  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white  Accessories: circle die cut, masking tape, copic markers, clarity stamps stencil brushes

Today the featured stamper is redbugdriver.  She has a wonderful gallery to look through and find inspiration.  I found this card and and selected it because it reminded me of the Lawn Fawn set Home for the Holidays.  I kept the theme of Christmas the same, and made the following changes.  I kept my background white, and created the sky by masking off a circle and blending on the sky. Die Cut Birthday Card

Supplies: Paper: Gina K white, SU blue and orange, vellum, Lawn Fawn  Accessories: Lawn Fawn stitched circle and border die cuts, SU scallop circle punches, brad, linen thread, Sizzix Happy Birthday Die cut.

I made this for the sketch challenge on SCS.  I don't usually use vellum on  my cards, because it is hard to adhere without seeing the adhesive.  I ran it through my Xyron before die cutting it and it worked out really well!  I like how the vellum circle allows you to see more of the patterned paper.  I found this flower in one of my boxes, I had followed a tutorial and made a few.  The flower was the inspiration for this card.

Chocolate Is the Answer!

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K white and chocolate kiss, Amuse patterned paper  Accessories: copic markers, ribbon, Sizzix die cut frame, fun foam, silver pen
The CAS challenge on SCS was to include chocolate onto your card.  I thought of these Amuse stamps right away!  For the frame I die cut a piece of fun foam to add dimension to the inlaid die cut.  I colored the images with copic markers and I used a silver pen to make the wrapper of the chocolate kiss.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Balloon Birthday Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: Mama Elephant and Amuse  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black  Paper: Gina K base weight  Accessories: Wink of Stella clear marker, glossy accents, Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles

This week's featured stamper on SCS is Beverly Sue.  I chose to CASE this card from her gallery.  I kept the same theme and used a similar stamp, and kept the layout similar as well.  I made mine a one layer card by embossing the stitched rectangle die.  I embellished my balloons by adding glitter with the wink of stella marker and glossy accents.

Rainbow Birthday!

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: DCWV paper pack and Gina K white  Accessories: Technique Tuesday happy die cut

The CAS challenge on SCS was to use a sentiment only on your card.  I saw this technique from Jennifer McGuire on YouTube.  This is my attempt at it.  It went together quickly, I should have cut it down the middle in a different spot so the hook of the h would have been rounded like the end of the y.  I will remember that when I use this technique again.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: PSX, SU sincere salutations  Ink: Gina K black, Distress Inks: stormy sky, dried marigold, and crushed olive  Paper: Gina K white and black  Accessories: Clarity Stamps brushes

This card is for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS.  Her screen name is Annie Panda and I chose to CASE this card.  I kept her same layout and added the same colors to my blending and stamping with black ink on top.  I chose to use a white background and selected a different theme for my card.  This will be for my father-in-law the fisherman, whose birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks.

Embrace the White Space

Supplies: Stamps: Party Mouse Boynton, Happy Birthday Arc Printworks  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K white  Accessories: gingham ribbon and copic markers

This week's CAS challenge on SCS was to choose a love themed card from your gallery and make it new again.  I thought this was such a neat challenge that I chose a birthday themed card and did the same thing.  I chose this card to make new again.  I embraced the white space again, and kept the focus on that adorable party mouse!

Soak, Relax, Enjoy

Supplies: Stamps: Inky Antics  Paper: Gina K. white and a blue scrap  Ink: Gina k black and Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: copic markers, sequins

After a long day of work this turtle has the right idea!  I used the sketch over at SCS to create this relaxing card.  I colored my image with copic markers, and added sequins for the floating bubbles.  I meant to add stickles to the bubbles on the stamped image, whoops!  I will go back and add those.

Old Is New Again

Supplies: Stamps: Stampendous  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K white  Accessories: ribbon, heart/dot embossing folder, SU stitched circle dies, wink of stella pen, copic markers

The CAS challenge this week was to find an old love themed card from your gallery and use the same stamp to create a card using your current style.  I tend to embrace the white space when creating my cards.  I added some texture with an embossing folder, allowing me to keep the card white.  I changed the color scheme to more of a red than using pink in order to match the ribbon.  This was a fun challenge, I will have to try this with other cards in my gallery!

Stenciled Christmas

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K Christmas Greenery  Paper: Gina K white  Ink: Distress Ink: Bundled Sage and Weathered Wood, Memento Luxe nautical blue  Accessories: Tim Holtz Festive Layering Stencil, Claritystamps brushes, Stampin Up ornament die cut and piercing tool, dimensionals, DMC silver thread, piercing tool
This week the featured stamper on SCS is Anita Bakker, she has a wonderful gallery.  I chose to CASE this card from her gallery.  I kept the concept of the layout and the color scheme the same.  I made the following changes: I used a stencil instead of an embossing folder, I stamped a sentiment on my ornament instead of a design, I added piercing around my ornament, and I made my card an A2 size card.

Heart Flutter

Supplies: Gina K Heart Flutter  Ink: Black onyx, Tim Holtz distress inks Paper: black onyx and white and patterned paper Accessories: detail white embossing powder, SU stitched layering circles, Offray ribbon, clarity brushes
I made this card for the sketch challenge on SCS.  I received this Gina K. set in the mail today, and thought I would give it some ink right away.  After I had blended the focal image I felt like it needed something.  I wanted it to look like dandelion seeds flying through the air.  So I spritzed on some water and I thought that gave it the effect I was going for.
