Thinking of You

Supplies: Stamps: Tim Holtz coffee time  Ink: SU soft suede and Versafine onyx black  Paper: SU very vanilla, soft suede, kraft and white  Accessories: Time Holtz coffee embossing folder, SU wide twill ribbon

I made this card using the sketch challenge on SCS.  I used Tim Holtz's coffee time stamp, die, and embossing folder set.  I was going to stamp the sentiment, die cut it, and adhere it to the ribbon, but I thought that might look strange.  So I thought, stamp on the ribbon!  I wasn't sure how clear it would stamp, but I was pleasantly surprised at the results.

Featured Stamper: Geraniums

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K  Paper: Gina K white, Basic Grey Serendipity 6x6 pad  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: copic markers, scallop and plain spellbinders rectangle nesabilities, Offray ribbon
Sunday brings us the featured stamper, and the ending date for the Stamp TV's Flower Poppin' challenge.  The featured stamper is MiamiKel4 on Splitcoast Stampers, and I chose the following card as inspiration for my card.  I chose this card because I liked the layout and that it included patterned paper.  When making CAS cards it is challenging to me to use patterned paper, and I like to get inspiration to use it because I have a bunch!  I kept the same layout of her card and changed the flower and the banner to a ribbon.

Stamp TV flower challenge

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K flowers, Amuse sentiment  Paper: Gina K white  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: Spellbinders die cuts to make the frame, swiss dots embossing folder, purple ribbon, copic markers

I used to participate in challenges on Stamp TV, and then I took a break from stamping.  Today I got an email from Stamp TV about a weekly challenge and thought I would give it a try.  The challenge is to use your favorite Gina K flower stamp on a card as we are welcoming spring.  I thought of this iris stamp, because I have so many perennials coming up including my dark purple irises.  I used my copic markers to color in the irises.  I made an embossed frame to define the flowers as my focal image.  I added some purple ribbon, (it isn't that dark in real life.)  Lastly I added a sentiment to complete the card.

The clean and simple challenge on SCS is to add dimension to your card.  I chose to use dimensionals to pop up my focal image, and I added an embossed background to add dimension to my card.  I added a touch of color to the floral image to coordinate with my ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by!

Rain, Rain Go Away

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse  Paper: Lawn Fawn plaid, Gina K white  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: copic markers, SU embossing folder, American Crafts ribbon, copic multiliner

The theme for this week's CAS challenge on SCS is April Showers.  We sure have had a lot of rain where I live, and there's more on its way.  I'm looking forward to the rain bringing those May flowers.  I chose this sweet little girl and her umbrella for this challenge.  I stamped her and drew in a sidewalk with a copic multiliner, and then colored it in using copic markers.  I added some cloud ribbon and I was done.

Happy Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: Lawn Fawn Our Friendship Grows and Happy Happy Happy  Ink: Archival black Paper: Gina K white and Strathmore Bristol watercolor paper  Accessories: Distress markers, waterbrush, Lawn Fawn stitched circle and Elizabeth craft designs stitched fish tails die cut, happy happy happy die cut

Sunday brings us the featured stamper challenge on SCS.  This week the featured stamper is Anita, and found inspiration from this card from her gallery.  Thanks Anita! :)  I loved the layout of her card and kept that the same.  I used different flowers that I watercolored with distress markers.  I also combined a die cut sentiment with a stamped sentiment.  I kept my banner plain and added the stitched edge using the fish tail stitched die cut to coordinate with the stitched circle die cut.
