Black and White Snowflake

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K (snowflake) stamp set duo, Blessed Is the Season  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K white and black  Accessories: red ribbon and gem, nestabilities

The Mix It Up Monday challenge this week on Stamp TV is to use black and white.  The only addition of color could be attached with gems or ribbon.  I stamped the scripted background twice, lining it up with my stamp a ma jig, and cut it out with the label nestabilities die cut.  Then I matted it in black.  Next I found the two circles that would fit inside the label, and I looked for a focal image.  The snowflake from Blessed Is the Season was too big, but the snowflake from the stamp set duo was just right.  I accented the black and white with red using a red gem and a red double looped bow.

Fluttering By To Say Hi!

Supplies: Stamps: My Sentiments Exactly  Paper: Gina K black, Tim Holtz watercolor paper, and vellum Ink: Gina K black onyx  Accessories: piercer, Gina K butterfly, watercolors, gems

The CAS challenge on SCS is to not use a white background.  This was tough for me, I love my white space.  I watercolored the background to add color to my card base.  Then I added the sentiment.  I drew a line to from the sentiment to where the butterfly was going to be to help guide me when I was doing the piercing.  After the piercing was done I added my butterfly with some multi medium matte, and added a couple of gems to the butterfly body.

Happy Birthday!

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K Daisy Delight  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K black and white cardstock  Accessories: Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die cuts, copic markers

It is time for another Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.  This week the Featured Stamper is Shirley N.  She has a wonderful gallery!  I selected this card to case from her gallery.  I was drawn to this card because of the simplicity, and the way she framed her focal image.  I kept the overall layout the same, and I changed the floral image.

Stamp TV Double Challenge

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K: enjoy the sunshine, spring mix, happy harvest.  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K white  Accessories: taylored expressions pocket die cut and Gina K double stitched rectangle die cut, copic markers, gingham ribbon

I made this card for the Mix it Up Monday challenge on Stamp TV: Double Challenge.  The first part of the challenge was to use a pocket on the front of your card, and the second part of the challenge was to decorate the inside of your project.  I found a small flower image in the happy harvest stamp set.  It is actually a potted plant, but I put the pocket over the pot to make it look like the flowers were coming out of the pocket.
For the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment and die cut it from the double stitched rectangle die.  I also stamped the floral image again.

Wishing You An Epic Year

Supplies: Stamps: Papertrey Basic Boys: Game On  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K white and black  Accessories: Glossy Accents

This week the CAS challenge on SCS is to "Get Techy" by using electronics on your card.  My nephew likes video games and I had picked up this set to use for him.  I kept the layout simple, by embossing the frame and adding a layer of black cardstock to help frame the card.  I added some glossy accents onto the controller to give it the look of plastic.

Enjoy Your Birthday

Supplies: Stamps: Enjoy the Sunshine by Gina K  Ink: Gina K charcoal brown  Paper: Gina K kraft and layering white cardstock, 40# vellum  Accessories: Gina K butterfly die cut, nestabilities, twine, gems, banner die cut, swiss dots embossing folder.

I made this card for the Stamp TV challenge: This or That.  You had the choice to use vellum or embossing, I chose to use both.  I die cut my butterfly from vellum, and embossed the front panel of my card.  I also used the reversed nestabilities technique that Gina K has a video tutorial on.  I completed the card with a white and silver sparkle twine to compliment the sparkle of the butterfly's body, and a banner with the sentiment.

Supplies: Stamps: Lawn Fawn: Love You Tons  Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Lawn Fawn wild rose  Paper: Gina K white  Accessories:  Lawn Fawn stitched circle dies, dimensionals, copic markers

It's Sunday, Featured Stamper Day on SCS!  This week the featured stamper is: JustCallMeNana, and this is the card that I got inspired by.  I was inspired by her large circle focal image and card layout.  I maintained the love theme of the card also.  The idea for the framing of this card came from Jennifer McGuire, be sure to check out the video it also includes how to copic dot color.

Wishing You Calm Seas

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K Enjoy the Sunshine  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white cardstock  Accessories:  MFT rectangle peek a boo die cut, copic markers, dimensionals

I made this card for two challenges.  The first is for the Stamp TV's challenge using a nautical theme, and the second for SCS's Free For All Challenge: Clean and Simple.  I colored my focal image with copic markers, and then used the die cut to add a window and some dimension.
