Wishing You a Beautiful Day

Supplies: Stamps: Special Reason  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight, Colormates: deep caribbean coral  Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Distress Ink tumbled glass  Accessories: Stylish Stems, mini pearls, gingham ribbon, blending tool

It's Sunday and it is time for the featured stamper challenge on SCS.  The featured stamper this week is Art Deco Diva.  I really enjoyed gallery gazing in her gallery.  This card caught my eye with the use of blending and the floral die cut.  I made mine a one layer card and added black accents with my sentiment and ribbon choice.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Hats Off!

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper Penguin on Ice  Ink: Memento tuxedo black Paper: Gina K heavy base weight and artist's choice white cardstock, Gina K black onyx, Lawn Fawn 6x6 Peace Joy Love  Accessories: copic markers

This week's CAS challenge on SCS is Hats Off.  I found this cute little penguin with a Santa hat on, and decided to use this as my focal image.  I colored the focal image with copic markers and die cut it into a circle and matted it with black paper.  I decided to use some Christmas lights patterned paper to coordinate with the penguin's tangled lights.

Featured Stamper Dahlia

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K Dazzling Dahlias  Paper: Color Mates Dark Racy Raspberry, Gina K white and artist's choice white  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: Dies for Dazzling Dahlias, ribbon, Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, copic markers, mini dimensionals

Today I am participating in the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.  Congrats to the featured stamper, Lisa, she has a gorgeous gallery!  I chose this card to CASE.  I made the following changes: I embossed the bottom portion of the card, colored my flower with copic markers, I used a ribbon in place of the stamped panel, and I changed the color scheme.

I Googled images of dahlias, there is such a variety of this flower.  I tried to keep just the tips of the flower with the dark raspberry color, to duplicate a flower I had seen in Google images.

Dazzling Dahlia

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K Dazzling Dahlias  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Daffodil Delight, Black Onyx, white, and Tim Holtz watercolor paper  Accessories: Zig Clean Color brush markers, score buddy, swiss dots embossing folder
When I haven't stamped in awhile I will look through card samples that I have saved on Pinterest and copy them to get my mojo flowing again.  That is exactly what I did with this card.  This is a card made by Gina K, she has a video tutorial here that I followed to make this card.  This is my first card using the Zig Clean Color brush markers, they definitely have a learning curve.  I found that I had to blend the two colors together right away to get a smooth blend, and sometimes I needed to use some water on a paint brush to smooth things out also.  I got the hang of it after awhile.  Check out Gina's video, it is a great tutorial!
